How do I login to pay my BAR dues/GALMLS fees?

Your dues, fees, and any outstanding payments can be made through your Member Portal. Please see Portal Help for login instructions

Why do I need a card on file?

It is our priority to provide the highest and safest level of security for our members. In order to prevent credit card information from being jeopardized, our policy requires logging in to the Member Portal to save it on file. By saving your card on file, all charges for BAR and GALMLS will be charged safely and securely.

How do I renew my license?

Your Alabama Real Estate License Renewal is handled by the Alabama Real Estate Commission (AREC). Visit AREC’s website for General License Renewal Information.

How do I find CE class information?

Education information is posted on the BAR website under the Education dropdown, or visit the BAR Calendar for a list of BAR and GALMLS courses. A link to the classes is also in MLS on the Home Page of Paragon.

How do I register for an event and class?

To register for a class, log into your Member Portal and click on the Events menu item, or visit the BAR Calendar for a list of BAR and GALMLS courses. When you find a class you wish to take, click Details and follow the prompts to register. Be sure to make a payment to reserve your spot in the class! In order to monitor class sizes, reservations are not made without payment.

Can late fees be waived?

Per BAR and GALMLS policy, late fees for any type of dues or subscriber fees cannot be waived. BAR and GALMLS provide ample notice and numerous email reminders to help you avoid late fees. Please be sure we have current contact information in your Member Portal. If you are an MLS Subscriber, this contact information will also update in the MLS.

Can BAR Dues or MLS Fees be refunded?

Per the BAR and GALMLS policy, all dues and fees are non-refundable.

“Refund Policy BAR Dues/MLS Fees/RPAC – It is the policy of BAR that no dues, fees, or RPAC contributions are refundable.”

Can I be refunded my RPAC contribution?

Please contact the Alabama Association of REALTORS® for ARPAC refunds.

What does it cost to join BAR and GALMLS?

How many CE credits do I need as an agent?

Agents must get 15 hours of CE credit every two years to keep their license and Association Membership in good standing. For more information, please visit AREC (Alabama Real Estate Commission) for more information.

How to Apply for BAR, MLS, and Unlicensed Admin Membership

All membership applications can now be completed online! You will go to our membership page here: https://birminghamrealtors.com/membership/realtor-membership/ and click on “BAR Membership Application” or access the link directly by going to: BAR/MLS/Unlicensed Admin Application

How do I change my office?

To change your office, you will go to your BAR member portal located here: members.birminghamrealtors.com. Under subscriptions, you will click on subscription actions and hit the “Change Office” button.

How do I obtain a Letter of Good Standing?

To obtain a letter of good standing, you will login to your member portal located here: members.birminghamrealtors.com. Under subscriptions, you will click on subscription actions and hit the “Letter of Good Standing” button.

How do I update my profile information and email address?

For BAR:

To update your profile information, you will login to your member portal located here: members.birminghamrealtors.com. Under “My BAR”, click on “Profile” and then click on “Edit Profile” in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

For MLS:

To update your profile information, you will login to your member portal located here: members.birminghamrealtors.com. Under “Subscriptions”, click on “Details” and under the “GALMLS’ subscription, click on the edit contact button.

When are the renewal times for BAR (Birmingham Association of Realtors) and the Greater Alabama MLS?

Your BAR membership renews annually every January. This includes your national, state, and local REALTOR® association dues.

Your MLS subscription renews annually every July.

Broker Abilities and Tips and Tricks

How do I open a new office or add a branch office?

  • Go to members.birminghamrealtors.com and click on “subscriptions”. Select DR transfer or add a branch. Once the application is complete, there will be a one-time $300 invoice added to your account.

How do I manage my roster?

  • Go to members.birminghamrealtors.com and select “Brokerage”. Click the “Roster” menu and you will notice the menu options at the top-right of each user. This will give you the option to manage delegation, or terminate.

How do I view my brokerages unpaid invoices?

  • Go to members.birminghamrealtors.com and select “Brokerage”. Click on “Unpaid Invoices” to view all outstanding invoices for your brokerage.
